So was MVS on a cloud service that pushed an update which caused IP checking or a new one that always checked IPs?

I first noticed getting logged out on my phone. It doesn't seem to happen as much on my PC. However, I suddenly started getting ads on my PC a few weeks ago, where I hadn't had them before. I had only gotten ads on my phone. That may have been part of a Firefox update, too.

The IP check is one of a trio of services from Stop Forum Spam. The other two are username check and email check.

I've had SFS on MVS for years. I don't know what changed. To add confusion, last weekend MVS had a 24 hour period of poor performance. The IP trouble happened at this time and I have a hard time thinking the two aren't related. SFS didn't report anything on their end...

I thought my internet had pooped itself. Called ATT to have them reset it. Guess it was MVS. Lol. No biggie.
