What about this one? Sorry if this is annoying, I just know nothing about cars but have had and loved two old Volvos.

That’s a much nicer model parts wise but what’s the overall mileage? Not enough details there really. They key to old Volvos success is buying one that has been taken care of , not on looks. Oil leaks are often from crankcase pressure which is a sign of neglect.

Prepurchase inspection mandatory

Yeah, I’m just kinda on a budget and need a car that will get me where I’m going and last for at least a few years without any major repairs needed. That’s really my only criteria. Actually kind of A lot to ask I know.

It needs a $100 inspection by a mechanic,
it has a used engine of unknown mileage that already leaks oil.
Could be brake fluid, trans fluid or motor oil.

Does the rear bumper staining mean it’s running really rich?

What happened with your 98 , K? For under $1000 of preventative stuff that would be cheaper than buying a new set of unknown problems…
