My old 2000 S70 SE has a blown head gasket but still runs fine and has for a few thousand miles. You need to add coolant every now and then, I just use water.
There's a theory that it won't pass smog because of that, but that's unconfirmed.
Runs well, has something like 175,000 miles, in pretty good shape. Tranny is fine as far as I know.
Must go ASAP, the landlord is pushing for it to go and I've already taken too long.
No title, but that's fixable. The reason: when the head gasket blew I gave this car to a friend and got another S70. He recently moved to Colorado and can't find the title, but he's available to help with ordering a new title and transferring ownership.

Hopefully it can be saved. 175k miles is too low to scrap. Having the head gasket done would probably break even on selling it later maybe get more than the investment. If you could do it yourself you could do it for around $1000 with the head and valves done and new valve guide seals.

Hi, I'm sorry I'm late to the party, I could use an S70 if it's still arouind? I could fly out and drive it gingerly home to Ohio & have a swell time putting a head gasket on my daughter is teaching English in Daegu South Korea and will probably need a car when she get's back.
Looking for a V90 to be my next Volvo, at the very least a T5.
