Hi all,
Recently after having to remove my completely rusted sunroof after putting it off for too long, I quickly discovered that the weather seal is no longer being manufactured. I purchased a sunroof off ebay that was in much better condition, however after having to remove the weather stripping to treat the frame I realized I'd probably end up having to attempt to repair the seal that came with it.
I'd prefer to have the best shot at not dealing with this again, so if anyone has a P80 weather strip (PN 1390349) that is new, like-new, or with minimal rust on the internal metal channel, I will gladly pay you $150-200 for it depending on the condition (will also cover shipping). Or, if you know of any alternatives to getting a good seal for my sunroof and/or tips for repairing the old seal, I'll take any advice/input you can provide.
(edit: corrected part number)
(edit 2: marked CIK7's advice as an answer but I'm still happy to hear any tips/part offers)

I just Googled that part number and got several hits claiming it to be for sale. It looks like it fits later vehicles, too.

I removed the seal on my sunroof to go through the repair process (documented by another user) and the link is attached in my WDYDTYVT? post. That looks like the wrong seal. Does not look how the one on the sunroof looks. If the seal you have is still rubber (not crumbling/falling apart) then on the sunroof apply rust removal, sand down the rust, wipe off, apply alcohol to clean metal, wipe off, apply clear silicone, then IMMEDIATELY CAREFULLY reinstall the seal. I did it and my sunroof does not leak.454cid wrote: ↑20 Apr 2023, 18:51 I just Googled that part number and got several hits claiming it to be for sale. It looks like it fits later vehicles, too.

Whoops, pasted the wrong part number from my clipboard. Sorry about that. The one I'm looking for is 1390349.454cid wrote: ↑20 Apr 2023, 18:51 I just Googled that part number and got several hits claiming it to be for sale. It looks like it fits later vehicles, too.

The seal that came with the one I ordered isn't falling apart, so I may have to do that. The one I pulled off my car originally actually had bits of the frame rusted into the channel of the seal, lol. The frame I bought had very little rust, just some surface bits around the edges. I plan on running to the parts store tomorrow to buy some enamel paint to protect the frame once I've finished sanding.CIK7 wrote: ↑20 Apr 2023, 18:55I removed the seal on my sunroof to go through the repair process (documented by another user) and the link is attached in my WDYDTYVT? post. Fixed the part number in my original post. Would like to have a new-ish one, but it's encouraging to know you've been able to repair it with success.

I already tried ordering from FCP. Got told a day later that it was out of stock and refunded. You'll notice that FCP's page says "available" (to order) and not "in stock," like every other store page...454cid wrote: ↑20 Apr 2023, 21:56https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... vo-1390349berg wrote: ↑20 Apr 2023, 19:17Whoops, pasted the wrong part number from my clipboard. I even called up a few dealerships. All of them said the same thing: part number is expired, so it's no longer being manufactured.
