Check out the zoomed in version I just uploaded. I always run premium, about a year ago I ran some valvoline fuel cleaner through. Is it worth sending out for refurbish? The Bosch kits on FCP are $211.

The injector service will cost $30 per injector roughly , much cheaper

Today , Moms Golf arrived from its California trip on a flatbed, and will nestle in between Two S70s and a V70

Yeah, I'd definitely recommend sending them for rebuild. It'll work out to at least $50 cheaper or so. The good thing about injectors, is that they rarely seems to really wear out. They just get dirty. Occasionally they stop working electronically, but that seems fairly rare with these injectors.

What a massive PITA.
Complications:
Ungodly stuck bolts. Brute force won.
Reinforced by others with four (4) high-strength coathangers. Ingenious weaving to replace non-existent brackets.
Eight (8) drywall screws through the top of the bumper cover into the reinforcement bar. Not clear what the net gain was.

The xc90 head rebuild continues.

I've now progressed to removing the exhaust shield and exhaust manifold bolts. These are tough sobs to get out. I couldn't remove the outer shield completely and had to force the smaller one out. Now I'm working on exhaust nuts but the stud bolts keep coming out with the nuts. Doing this by feel is super fun. Do I need these exhaust shields?

Twice in two weeks, I’ve had someone compliment Blue Steel out of the blue.

The first guy was at the new Costco tire-filling station, who thought it might’ve been the one he sold in Westchester, but the time frame was off.

The second was the owner of an auto glass shop in Newark who said he used to work in movie production and they often used V70s. “Beautiful car.” I told him I thought so too, which is why I owned three of them. “Don’t ever get rid of them,” he said. “If you need a place to park them, you can bring them here.”

My V70R gets a lot of compliments too. People love these old Volvo wagons!
