Hello! I'm currently building a dirt track car from an 1987 244 lh. My fuel pump decided to not kick on anymore. I can jump the really or fuse and have it run the pump. If I just cycle the pump a few times and leave it off the car will run for a bit at idle. New relay didn't help. Yellow tag ecu. Also, does anyone have or can make up a bare bones wiring for this? I just need it to run, run a few gauges and maybe a high mount brake light. Anything is appreciated, I have 44 days to win the oval and figure 8.

I have often wondered if a 240 Volvo would make a good dirt track car. I always concluded it would be too heavy and the engine too expensive to compete against the turner Pinto/ Mustang 4 cylinder engines.
I known method of testing the fuel pump is to bypass the relay as you suggested. I think that could work long term, but you would want a fuse in the circuit.
I suggest you get an old 240 paper manual like Haynes. They had electric schematics and you could determine the simple wiring harness you need.
