ECC fan control resistor. Any way to test one off car?

ECC fan control resistor. Any way to test one off car?

From what I'm reading I assume the resistor is shot. Fan is always running. On/off or speeds don't respond to ECC changes.

I have a resistor pulled from a junk yard car. It looked pretty fresh. Does anybody have specs for testing one before installing?
