I'm helping my grandson, who lives in Florence, AL - about a month ago he hit a deer, not hard enough to set off the airbags, but enough to crunch up a lot of nose plastic and bend the hood, plus shatter the clear headlight lens. The hood is jammed shut. I am told by the shop the car is driveable - there are no leaks, and it starts and drives with no noise. The car was well maintained by his mom, and just had a full brake job. Mom is a car nut, BTW. 95,000
The body shop gave an estimate of $7700 to repair, but that includes a possible A/C radiator Replacement. The shop said they put that in, because they have to open the hood to look, and they do now want to do that, because, once the hood is open, the car is not driveable, since the hood can't be shut. I was told they couldn't see any damage to the A/C radiator, but they are playing it safe.
I have the shop estimate.
I have no idea what the car is worth, as is, so I would start at $1000. Clear AL title..
