Yes, with junkyard rubber trim.BlackBart wrote: ↑18 May 2023, 12:48So he did that recently, in 2022.erikv11 wrote: ↑18 May 2023, 10:16 It's common here! On both of our P2 cars the rubber trim is basically disintegrating.
The rubber can be separated from the metal trim, just grab the bottom part of the rubber and peel it away from the painted trim. However the rubber alone is only available aftermarket e.g. the IPD link. S80, S60, XC90, XC70 all use the same rubber strip but it should be siliconed back in. I'm no expert on this, giving you the info secondhand from DonnVa viewtopic.php?p=603762#p603762

So, does the rubber run up under the roof rails or does it stop there?
GCP.se only got Volvo's older stock up to the end of the P80's around 2000. If yo ugo on a Vovl dealer parts site it is mostly what they call the 'Classics', with the exception of the 98-00 P80's which they still call 'current' I think as they C70 ran in P80 form to 2004 which was after when the stocks were handed over.
I'll take a look. Have my dash on the PITA-R to finish repairing and hopefully get back in over the weekend with a hopeful tailwind.
Then there is the 850 water pump when ever that gets here. If there is a delay then I'll take a run to the junkyard.
Neil.

On a P80 the side windshield trim is well documented and discussed. That's a metal-backed piece, different animal, routine to remove/install but no new replacements available of any kind AFAIK. Junkyard only. Without rails one piece runs from the windshield corner all the way to the tail gate, with rails it is a different, shorter part that stops at the rail foot. Or you can cut the long ones to size.
On a P2 the rubber piece that you can pull out is short, it runs just past the top of the windshield:

Just an FYI on supplier GCP.SE.... I got this answer to my question on P2 parts:
"Hello,
Essentially we are only a warehouse. This means that we need the actual part number for the item you want in order to check availability in our system.
Please contact your nearest Volvo dealer for further assistance with your query."

They supply the dealers with the 'classic' parts. You can buy directly from them but they don't have 'parts' guys. As they say you need to give them a number then the monkey see and supply.

I think the PO of our wagon left it parked in the sun for long periods. Dirt roads, hiking, pitted windshield, faded paint.
Right base ( I have these) Right upper. Rubber curves to a stop just before the rack base. Directs water into the roof trough. Left base. Left rubber is gone.
