Oil Leak Engine Block???
Oil Leak Engine Block???
I have a '96 960 and for the past few months have had a small, but persistent, oil leak. My mechanic took a look at it and described it as a possible problem in the "engine block," and that I should bring it back in to take a look at it again in a few weeks. I was curious if anyone knew what that could elaborate on that and how serious that might be (probably should have asked the guy who performed the work, but for whatever reason that never occurred to me)
. Thanks for the help

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.
The only problem I have heard about on the B6304F is some of the '92 to '95 models had a porous block which allowed coolant leakage. There is no suggestion of oil leakage as an inherent problem.
