Parking lights not working (fixed it) V40 2000
The parking lights on my Volvo V40 2000 B4204T2 went recently out. They came on briefly again but than died all together. I searched the Internet and only found post that fix the head light low beam and dipped beams. Checked the fuses but all good. So, i pulled the CEM module on the driver side (RHD car) above the compartment fuse box. I managed to locate the relay functions so that's handy if you're after this information. The relays are 12V DC 25 Amp rated but they are tiny. Also the relays are double cased with a rubber insulation sock in between. Since it's a daily driver and I couldn't wait for a delivery of the exact relay, I squeezed in my relays which are a bit more robust and sturdy (240 Ohm coil). The parking lights front and rear are 5 or 10W bulbs and are on tge rekay marked rear park lights. The side parking lights are a miniscule and head leveling servos don't use much either so 20 or 25 Amp rating is more than sufficient and are on the last relay on the pcb. Below the photo's if you're after the information. Good luck!
