I copied that and pasted in Google. I see what it means now. Never heard that saying before.

And the only 24 year old rolling around blasting, what was that thing, CDs? I'm kidding, I love physical media because I own it forever.

Stock Volvo radios are useless to me since they don't have Bluetooth audio for my phone. I'll buy a second used JVC head unit to install in the two V70s I'm fixing to sell. It's an inexpensive and clean looking way to add Bluetooth and it'll be nice for the next owner to have.

Side note: Don't buy a Subaru unless you like spending money, throwing tools, and paying someone else 3x what it should cost to fix it.
I like your thinking, says the guy who just spent $1200 in parts toward rescuing a beat 2000 V70 with 350k miles. The fact that it still drives with spirit and pep after all it's been through gives me faith in it. Once I'm done rehabilitating my other 2000 V70, I'll likely sell it back to its previous owner who no longer likes the Subaru she bought to replace it. Man, I'm going to miss that green!

You're probably right! I love my CDs, so much easier than connecting my phone. Yeah, I just said that
Having bluetooth is a nice thing though. I'd probably use my phone for music in the car more. I have a decent bluetooth adapter in my E46 that I use every now and again.

The FM bluetooth transmitters work fairly well and are cheap. Having said that, I got one for my son to try in his 06 XC70 and it worked great for about 4-5 weeks and then started blowing fuses. Tried it in the Toyota and same thing. I suppose at around $10 what do you expect.....!

There are add-ons you can buy these days that will give bluetooth and Aux in capabilities, but even phones are deleting the headphone jack for bluetooth ear buds. I just removed a barely used ipod/aux in unit from the 00R as my wife says she never uses it, but then neither did I as I don't store music on my phone.

If I drove greater distance, I might find a way to upgrade the to bluetooth for phone usage hands free. I already did that with the Toyota as I can program the buttons on the steering wheel however I want to allow hands free calls.

I have an Anker Roav bluetooth transmitter that I got on Amazon and I really like it. Easy to use, good quality sound, and it's compact. Also has high output USB charging ports.
