98 v70: wiper reservoir/tank and level sensor part number needed Topic is solved

I needed to swap the wiper fluid tank when I had the 99 s AWD parts car so I swapped the one off my car for the donor part. The bolt holes lined up but not all top-end stuff was the same. I have not had a working rear hatch wiper squirter since the swap. And the front wipers have gotten stuck on indefinitely anytime I use the pull-in wash stalk, meaning I have to pull out the fuse which is inconveniently also for the horn. I have brand new (not installed) front and rear wiper fluid pump motors but Id rather not install until I put in a new reservoir.

Who around here has a part number for the 1998 wiper fluid reservoir? Who has installed a universal tank? Who has a part number for the wiper fluid level sensor?

Link to Volvo website for your car. According to this any 98-00 wagon washer fluid tank should work. Needs to be a wagon as it has 2 pumps. One for front windshield washers and headlight washers and 2nd for rears. Rears is set higher so if fluid level gets low it stops sending water to rear in priority to front.

No wonder the donor part was different because it came from a sedan. I found what I needed. Thank you.

I found the tank I needed on eBay. I hope the level sensor on the sedan tank fits in the wagon tank. It would suck if i have to wait until august 1st to order a $75 wiper fluid sensor.

The tank I pulled off the 98 C70 parts car has 2 pumps for some reason

There are multiple parts number on it

(top 2 are 9190692 and 9190690)
