S80 SUNROOF NEEDED

Well, this weekend I was attempting to fix the rear drip rail on the glass of the sunroof. The factory glue comes loose and it rattles. So, I had the sunroof out of the car and was attempting to remove the last spot of glue so that I could reglue the entire piece. You can guess what happened, I shattered the sunroof. Stupid mistake.

So, I am now looking for a sunroof within a 1 hour radius of Knoxville, Tn. I have one option at a junkyard in Madisonville - if the glass is any good. But, of course I have to check all these places tomorrow morning, and take time from work to get it (I was just on vacation this past week). So, if I can find one locally that would be great. If not, I will have to find one to be shipped to me, great!

It looks like sunroof glass from a 1999 to 2005 S80, and S70 will work.

Anything I can do? I'm also in Knoxville.

Did you try the Pick-n-pull out on Rutledge Highway or European Import Parts on Clinton Hwy? V70's- '01 up through '05 also have the same part number according to VADIS. This should help you find something. Since S70's are prior to the P2 (newer design) the glass is a different shape and different part number (confirmed with VADIS).

I have tried all the sources that I know, or others have told me about.
The best I have found is Strange Auto Parts off of the White Pine exit on Interstate 81. The tracks, motor, and glass for $135 plus tax. I think that will be the best I can do.

I agree Alan...good luck with that!
It's either that or drive around with plastic and duct tape until something comes up on an eBay auction, then still you'll have to pay for shipping.

Edit: Just found one on eBay...ends in 6 hours...shipping is $20 from Canton, GA. Price now is at $86 but it can go up considerably...already 3 have latched onto it.
