2002 V70 XC

The Climate Control Module/HVAC on my 2002 V70 XC quit working after a recent dead battery with the windows down in a rain storm. WHAT can this be? Bought a new battery, tried the touching battery leads together trick, lock/unlock trick to no avail. It's Flippin hot and My dog needs ac as we are living in my trusty volvo at the moment. HELP?!?!?

Could be water damage. What are the symptoms? None of the buttons or lights for the climate control work? If it is now dry, I would try checking the fuses.
