2014 XC70 driver door doesn't detect being shut

The door will close fine, but the car always thinks its open, it shows the door open warning when driving. I am using the car perfectly fine right now but I can't lock it, and i have to keep the lights to always off instead of opening when doors open.

The problem started slowly, only happening some times and I would just open and close the door and it would lock, but by now its almost permanent.

Dealership wants $180 to diagnose and they said its either electrical or the mechanism, which they said would cost me $350 or $600 respectively, on top of the diagnoses fee. I personally can't see it being the mechanism as it locks perfectly fine when it doesn't think its open.

I'm thinking its a problem with the electrical connector 73/5024

I am unable to find anywhere to buy that connector. Where can i find it other than a junkyard? Also, if you all think i could be misguided in any way lmk.

I'm a complete amateur and not a car guy so any feedback would be appreciated.
