Hy Brunocerous,

Did you have a look at the throttle ? Issue with the gas pedal cable ?

Brunocerous's car he is working on is his 'Silver Bullet' which is a 2000 model. It has an ETM throttle body, so fly-by-wire, no throttle mechanical cable.

However, that is another good idea, there could be a throttle peddle position sensor issue.

Trans shifted very well. Torque converter was locking up except on worst hills. Not too worried about it but will check in am

No shifting issues, and fluid is sweet...b

Cutoff wheel looks a little spent, though.

That fluid looks excellent. The cutoff wheel on the other hand...

Actually, use a grinding wheel to smooth that out and clean it up. It has a couple more cuts left.

I run my little Dremel cut off wheels until they wear to the central metal collar. I feel that their smaller diameter allows for more fine work. Helped when I was cutting an O2 sensor out of the remnants of the exhaust hole. Pro tip: Don't cut it, use excessive heat.

I felt pretty Scottish using that wheel, but I did wear a full face mask expecting it to fly…..to PIECES ( Patsy Cline).

I’m guessing using one like that is a good way for facial adjustments

Hi,

Yikes, that cutoff wheel looks nasty. You are not supposed to cut diamonds with it. :D
It looks like it is ready for intense recycling. Smash it up into little pieces, then use globs of super glue to glue the tiny fragments back together on the pointed end of a nail, then cut off the head and stick in a drill. Makes a cute little fine point grinder.

Now why don't oil dipsticks look like that. Seems to me a nice bright color would show the oil on the stick better than having a dark metal color which makes it harder to see where the oil reaches up to. Maybe paint the oil dipstick with a special baked-on white paint?
I’ve been driving a Volvo long before anyone ever paid me to drive one.
That's probably because I've been driving one since 2015 and nobody has offered to pay me yet.

I’m back in Queens visiting my parents and hoping to work on the Silver Bullet’s ETM. I’ve got the Interstate battery out of Blue Steel and on a charger to listen again for the click and whirr of it initializing after having it repaired by Xemodex.

Thanks, FireFox31, for the ETM startup post. The Geronimo thread is amazing. viewtopic.php?t=98286

Thank you for the offer! It was a busy week at work, and I didn’t have a chance to even think about getting out here.

Update: Here’s video of the ETM while turning the key to position II. Is the throttle plate supposed to close entirely?
