It is a P1. Similar to a Mazda 5 and Ford Focus with which some parts and design were shared.

Ohh, P1, huh. Not an 850 chassis. Is it the same as the V50 wagons then?

Aren't the block and cooling system going to be the same as a modern white block?

The earlier C70 were 850 (P80) based. The later are P1.

There was the upgrade to RN motors around 2000 - the RN blocks are largely the same (minus the R motors). Cooling should be the same. The heads and manifolds are different between the P1 and P2 though.

Later C70s are same chassis/drivetrain as C30/S40/V50. Wish those later C70s were P2 chassis.
