Read the P code, then google it with Volvo , eg, Google “P1332 Volvo”to get the right description
HA! yeah I would agree with my old reader but I picked up a quality reader and the codes are accurate and match up with what I researched.

I tinkered today and check codes again and found a new one thrown for P0305 "cylinder 5 misfire". I'm fearing the worst until I can do a compression test to make sure I didn't burn up rings or something related to my oil leak relating to the evap code (I assume). Totally down for a bad coil or injector issue.

I'll start a thread going on this adventure for each the evap and 0305 / 1332 codes. Don't want to hijack a tech guide thread.

Looks like I will be driving the old 460 ford for a bit.

Just thought I'd say "THANKS" to the person long ago who posted this thread...it helped some! and the comments had bit's too...

Just did this not even 2 mins ago. 2000 C70 with 87K miles, picked this up in a "sat in the garage" deal.

My issue was I could not for the life of me find the #1 and #2 writing on anything for the wires...Not on the org Volvo part nor the new one I bought. So I guess I will know if I get the "error" code. I happened to get the part for 44$, but U get what U pay for, it did NOT have any extra wires or the connecter to go in the new solenoid as the org volvo connecter would not work on anything U buy new.

well guess a prayer and a bit of luck? that the correct wire is in the correct slot..... regards to all!
