Drifting to the right after alignment

Post by 02V70 »

I got an alignment done to correct uneven tire wear after I got new tires. Now when driving on a straight road in the center and leaving my hands off the wheel for a 5ish seconds my volvo drifts out of the right-side white line on the side of the road.

The Volvo probably drifted off the road before, but I don't remember it being this bad. I also noticed that even when holding the steering wheel and driving straight, the steering wheel tilts slightly to the right. I don't remember if it was like this before.

I took it back to the alignment shop and they said that the alignment and suspension was fine, and it could be something else like a bad wheel bearing or dragging brake.

Could the alignment place not have done the alignment properly? The brakes and front wheel bearings seem fine. I will test the back ones later. If the alignment was done right, what could cause this? Could it be related to my other problem where it vibrates sometimes when going up hill?

Here is my alignment spec sheet.

bad bearings make noise and dragging calipers get hot so its easy to eliminate those.
try swapping front wheels left to right.
