Volvo c70 2.4i - 2007 roof failure

Hi guys,

I get an error fault and the roof of the C70 won’t open. The trunk opens and then the second step. So when the inside tailgate slides up, this error message appears halfway:

Does anyone know what to do first? Is it the sensor or an broken cable.

Anyone here has got this error?

I would suspect wiring and check for any rubs or tight bends that could be broken.

I found the problem, cable break in the cable to sensor 12, this cable has already been repaired by the previous owner with a shrink tube and that is where it broke. I'm going to fix it myself this week, now with a soldering sleeve.

Glad you found it. I’ve not found the diagrams extremely helpful, yet to sort my sensor 3 issue…or even exactly where it is.

Hi. Can someone please take 1 or 2 pictures like this but from the other side (inside). I have disconnected and repaired a cable to sensor 12 and need to know how to run this cable on the inside and how sensor 12 is placed. See picture of what I need:
