Perhaps someone here wants a Laser Blue 2000 V70R with blue flames as a project. It's down in Florida. scot850 has thoroughly convinced me to stay away from the 2000 R more than any other. The Laser Blue and Saffron are so tempting, begging for a basic FWD swap.

Nothing wrong with the 2000 R that isn't wrong with every other P80. Any AWD P80 has crap rear suspension that needs refreshing at this point lol. Plus other AWD components... If you do what Bmdubya did and remove the AWD and replace with a FWD system and a manual swap while you are in there then it is no worse than any other P80 but faster.
You can have mine if you really masochistic and want one!!
Finally disinterred it from slumber in the garage since last October today and the boss took it for a short run. She loves the car so you may have to fight for the keys!

I thought the 2000 R had rear brake parts (and more) specific only to 2000 R.

You can move to standard FWD rear brakes on the swap, I believe you have To, actually.

FWD rear brakes are different, required for the FWD delta link swap.
The rotors are 2000 R-specific, pads are the same for all AWD cars.

Robert just did one in his high-angle driveway. He used some of the kit off of a C70, just to make it more ... interesting. Took a couple extra trips to the salvers for all the fuel and vacuum lines on the gas tank, and of course he had to roll the fenders because of the wider track. An heroic effort.
