Will headliner from V70 fit in 850 wagon?

I don't know for sure. What I would check is the positions of the grab handles above the front doors, and anything else along the sides of the roof panel where mounting are. The cabin temp sensors for the 850 as you know are behind the grab handles above the front doors.

Also check the sun-visors and rearview mirror and their mounts.

I love Robert, but I would double check the fittings are all in the same places. Sure it may fit, but it may not be the same if you want perfection. I'll have to take a look at the junkyard next time assuming there is one of each!

It's the same platform,same size and same roof....after all it's the same car...just rebadged and face lifted.

But...i read somewhere that windshields are not interchangeable.
I don't see what can be different.

Roof grab handles, A/C temp sensors in the front ones, are the plastic surrounds in the tailgate area the same?

I'm not saying they are not, but I just caution go into this with your eyes wide open!

It's sold and installed into 850 wagon.
So....it must have fitted correctly.
The headliner was from '98 v70.

There is a difference in that it fitted, but it may need modifying. It depends on your tolerance for it being 100% correct and it is better than your saggy old one but has holes hacked in it. As I said it may be 100% (I have no idea), but until I have done it or looked at a comparison I just don't know.

My bet is that Robert has done this very thing, and I intend to harvest the headliner from my donor '98 for the 855R if the weather and my body parts cooperate ( rotator cuff ). Try contacting Robert directly; he's travelling at the moment but usually answers text messages promptly. His cell number is on his website and shown in the comments on his Y/T videos.
