The first two are dealer consignments, not likely to make reserve, and the third, the V8 car, has specific State exclusions clearly stated in the 'Further Information' section.
If it hammers for the current $1600 bid, that's $1940 at the gate in Temple Hills, MD.
As mentioned several hundreds of times, this is a sport best played on home turf.

I read a detailed writeup in a Volvo dealer service magazine about replacing either a cam seal or the front crank seal on these cars - I don't remember which, but likely doesn't matter. Don't know what the book time is but I bet it's measured in days. What a nightmare.

Hard to guess if it will make reserve.
And as mentioned above, always read the ENTIRE auction house listing for valuable information:

I missed that, though I don't remember it being there when it first came out. In asking about this other a month ago, Capital said someone other than NC or NJ can make the purchase, register it then sell it to me. It's quite the trouble and by that time whoever purchased it might decide to keep it..

It's funny, about 5 years ago before we (actually my parents) purchased the 08 C30 M66 for the kids so they can learn manual, Son and I test drove an S80 V8 while I test drove an S80 3.2. I really didn't care for the overall feel at the time but the V8 intrigues me as I love our 03 S80 T6 and thinks it's be a swift one also. Son likes that V8 as much as his C30 besides the XC90 V8's. Since he's the only child that's learned manual thus far the car default to him rather than his brother who now likes Lexus in 03 to 05 GS platform.

The black wheels gotta to go!

Made $3255 with fees, plus $25/day storage - not casual money for speculation, but likely OK for a driver if there aren't any surprises. From what I have read, the V8 cars and AWD systems can be full of surprises.
There are auction houses like Capital all over the country. Lusting after cars in remote locations can fill idle time, but isn't realistic from a transportation standpoint, and even rare cars of interest can be priced out of reach with transportation costs.

This is on the chopping blocks tomorrow literally. If a dealer does not buy it, no bids yet, it would probably be sent to a dismantler. Question: If it was sold for $300 what does it look like out the door with all the fees.

These first Gen have TWR (BTCC, IMSA & Group C) developed chassis and suspension so will be a collector down the road especially with the M56. Someone save this one as there are fewer and fewer.

Roughly
There are no $100 cars on Capital. The scrap guys will take anything for aboutv$400 so with $250 in fees , it’s at least $650mto land one of these , and has the nicest Gent I know in the State of Delaware says, after towing, $1000 under the pin oak.

I wonder if certain states would let this car be owned/registered without a title. Here in NH, cars older than 2000 aren't required to have a title and the DMV won't issue them a title unless you ask. That weak link makes me wonder about cars newer than 2000 presumably like this C70.

Can titles be permanently lost when new ones can be issued by states? The owner likely needs to be the one requesting the reissue and many issues could prevent that. States can't simply create new titles to whoever possesses the car because that would legitimize theft. But I hope there would be a procedure to recreate a title when the owner can't be reached. Would be sad if a "perfectly good car" couldn't be used because its title was unable to get reissued.

Or is a car sold without title basically "stolen"? There's got to be a chain of custody pointing the auction house back to whoever donated it. Would be nice to legitimize it enough to convince the state to make a new title.

Cars sold without a Title is subject to a police inspection and research making sure it's not stolen. All cars here must have a Title if you intend to Register. You can get a Title and put it on Non-Op (not Register). Son told me NC has some new legislation not requiring Emission Inspection but all cars are required to get a Safety. It's $14 dollars and Inspection is done by local shops so you know how thorough that is. They did Fail one car this year for front wipers but the rear ones are not subject to Inspection .
