Was it this? Alfa just produced a show car with no name, never intended to build them. It has a detuned Tipo 33 race car V8. It was such a big hit at the Montreal show, they decided to build them. Not sold in the US and Canada, but they are around. I think they made 3000-ish. They sound really good.

I have no photo, but I have been seeing a very sharp Mercedes W123 300D sedan under a carport a couple miles from my house. I believe it is badged TurboDiesel, which makes it 1981 to 1986. It is white and looks about perfect condition as seen from the street. I met it on the street once, so i know it runs. I don't see these anymore (except in my fleet).

Yes, thanks BB. That's exactly it. The one I saw a photo of in the US must be a grey market import. That would be one car I wouldn't mind owning.

^ Absolutely amazing. I consider the F40 to be the pinnacle of automotive achievement.

If I won the lottery it would be the first collector's car I'd buy.

Second would be a 308. Third would be a Porsche 928.

Sorry, I can't stop.

Fifth would be a perfect or near-perfect Volvo 780. Sixth would be a nice 740 Turbo. Seventh would be a late air-cooled 911.

Eighth would be a 1970s Marlboro Mclaren F1 car (really).

Yes absolutely another 850, a Platinum because they're rare. Sedan or wagon, don't care.
