Looks like we're going to be looking for a new PS mirror (or a pair) in 419.
That sucks.

Chuck, I might have a spare in 419 for the Kat. I have a pewter backup too, I don’t mind if I do the retro silver/ pewter two tone look.

Thanks for the offer. She may want to keep the 850 type with the grey trim (Unless we do both).
The glass is easy to get, but the impact also cracked the housing and knocked it a bit loose on its mount, so a full replacement is needed.

(She backs into our drive, so working mirrors are a must)

EDIT-
I guess I was wrong. the 98-00 cars are not fully color-matched to the body (Unless that's just the XC's)

'97 855 GLT - Hers. RN swap/16T/COP/VVT/exhaust/302s/Flashed M4.4/ chassis bracing/ 2 kid seats
'78 GLE - Waiting in the wings. Future whiteblock/T5 swap.

The mirrors should all be the same on P80s, except for the C70. Which also still have the gray trim, IIRC. I don't think any of them were color matched.

Yeah. I saw that when I was looking at stuff on ebay.
@abscate. Message me what you need for the 419 one you have, if you're wanting to part with it. :)
(EDIT- Disregard. I snagged one off of ebay for pretty cheap)

Checked and topped off the oil from Saturday's oil change. Made a slight adjustment to center the steering. The P80 seems to like a very, very slight Toe Out. The car was driving straight with basically 0 Toe but steering had a slight tilt to the right. The car now glides better on the freeway with a lighter steering feel.

Forgot to put the oil cap back on and by the time I returned from my parents smoke was coming from under the hood. Took the opportunity to open the cheap HB pressure washer I purchased May of last year. Now I have a slight miss. At first it would idle then bog, miss, cough when put into gear. Would have to shut down and restart. Let it sat and warm for sometime while using a leaf blower. Now it drives with a slight miss when you push the accelerator to down shift. Will need to take a closer look tomorrow. The spark plug cover was off so it was full of oil along with smoke from the exhaust.
.
Blessings,

BKM

Definitely start by cleaning up all the oil. It the miss started after the oil cap was left off, it is possible that the oil contaminated the coils/plugs.

I hate when I leave the oil cap off. What a mess, and a wasted afternoon cleaning that mess

The plastic cover was off so it was a huge mess on the coils. Will unplug all the connectors and clean tomorrow. Still a little drizzly here.

I've left it off and started the engine before but never driven it for a distance so yes it was definitely a mess. 12 miles and 25 minute is a lot of oil. Good thing the cap stayed on the engine and didn't fall on the freeway.
