Small boat sailing...

For about 2000 usd or less, you can buy any number of used trailerable boats under 20 feet long, towable weight 500 pounds or so. Spring summer or fall I try to enjoy a lake sail in pretty much any weather whenever I can. Get some guidance the first year you do it and always wear a PFD ( aka life vest)

You can get out of the boat for the same if you buy in the 20-30 year old range. We sail 10 foot dinghies, 4.6 -6.2 meter a Boston a Whalers, and a 26 foot sloop on Cape Cod in MA

Too bad you're not close to me. You could take this old Sunfish off my hands. '67, I think.

How is sailing small boats "guilty?" Seems like a necessity, which I am missing.

My son was just in Annapolis this weekend, where they were having an Eastport vs Westport ,long-running feud, tug-of war across the harbour. I was quite disappointed it didn't involve any involuntary swimming. It all looked like quite a festival, with bands and kids.
