The inside piston on my rear calipers are seized up, causing uneven wear on my rear pads as the outside pads wear at a much faster rate.
I have seen a caliper repair kit out there, with little information attached to it. Any idea if this is to deal with this problem? Has anybody ever dealt with partially seized calipers? If I can fix the problem and get a couple more years out of them I would be happy, otherwise I am assuming replacing them will be my only option.......
Any insight would be appreciated
Cheers

I had this issue with another vehicle. Sticking calipers are usually a result of surface corosion building up in the slide mechanism of the calipers. Whenever I do a brake job I take some Scothbrite and alcohol and polish the slide shaft/bolts and any other area that has any corosion. I then put a thin coating of brake grease on them to help prevent any further corosion.
A caliper repair kit should have a new piston, seal, and slide bolts. There should be other misc items also.
If you live in an area that gets snow where roads are salted or near the ocean I would recomend a brake job to clean the calapers every spring.
Good Luck,
