That muffler gives me an optical illusion quirk that the right spring is mounted way rearward of the left spring.

I really like a 142, sorry I didn't buy one. Too bad about those bumpers.

That spring mount is what I see also. It may be factory. Offset mounting to stop wheel hop with the excessive horsepower available? Some trucks of that era had shocks mounted like that.

No one likes the Reliant Rialto? These were built in the UK as a get around for not having a car driving license as you drive them on a motorcycle license. Reliant Robin was it's older sister and then there was the Bond Bug...........!

When I posted it back on the 14th I wasn't convinced it would make reserve. The refresh seems to have been well done, including a complete VP interior, so $20k is likely a good deal for the buyer. As the Hemmings guys say, "try building one for that money."

Pretty cool story about the original owner taking it apart when the war started to keep it from being requisitioned. Stayed in boxes for 60 years.

There aren't any lanes on the Information Highway, plenty of room here. I tend to ignore BaT listings from dealers and obvious flippers, and can't get too excited about later model stuff. That Duett was aspirational for me, I hope to start on mine in '24. Maybe. Gotta sell something first.
