The "accident" was a minor something on the RF corner. Could have been a dent, could have been bumper cover. Assuming the paint matches I don't think it's a thing.
They are very kindly inviting me and "My Volvo friend" from the area to stop in to look it over!

That’s very red. You could slip a Miata in the back, Bdub.

If ya can't fit anything in the Miata, just put the Miata in a wagon!

An unusual turbocharged manual 2001 wagon:
https://raleigh.craigslist.org/cto/d/we ... 91683.html """2001 Volvo V70 T5 2.3 Turbo 5-Speed Manual 7-Passenger Wagon:
This is a really unusual car. If you're not specifically in the market for an aging European manual transmission wagon, this car is probably not for you. If you are... this might be the best car for you, in the sense that we've already addressed many of the things you would probably have to address on another example.
We like this car, and have a great bit of time into it. We'll be losing money if we sell the car at the $5k listed price. For those reasons, that price is actually firm. I'll put as much clarity as I can into the listing. If you think you're a good match I'm glad to connect, I'm just trying to save everyone time and energy by being upfront about that. The car does not need to be sold, and will not be sold for less.
From what I've been able to determine, this is a US spec. car that was bought new by a US serviceman through the European delivery program in Munich. It appears to have remained in Germany until ~2014, and with the original family until earlier this year. It has a clean title, a clean Carfax, and much of its original paint (the left front corner has been painted), so it does have its share of scrapes and scuffs, but what you see is pretty much what you get.
It's an oddly optioned car, between the desirable T5 high pressure turbo motor and manual transmission, with the third row seat and a slick-top (no sunroof). It's also a little unusual to see a Volvo wagon in this color with a black leather interior rather than tan.
The car runs and drives very well, with most options functioning properly, and the interior is in excellent condition for the age of the car. We've chased away a series of check engine lights over the past couple months, and caught the car up to date on most maintenance and necessary repairs, with the intention of giving it to our teenage son. We may still do that, but we're considering going a different direction, so this car is available for sale.
Things we've done...
A new OE bulb socket for the right front turn signal to correct for a fast blink.
2 OE Volvo keys cut and programmed ($300+)
Replaced the evap purge valve and gas cap with new OE Volvo parts
Installed a new Nissens A/C compressor and charged the AC system
Replaced one OEM ignition coil
Replaced the camshaft and crankshaft position sensors with OEM parts
Replaced the plugs, and changed the oil with an OEM filter.
We also replaced a damaged wheel, a broken fog light, a damaged exterior mirror, and the auto dimming interior rear view mirror.
I've ordered a replacement gear shift boot that will either be installed, or will be forwarded if the car sells before it arrives.
Things we haven't gotten to...
The right rear seat belt is locked up, so it has been disconnected
The exterior cosmetics. I have an appointment with a local body shop to have some corrective paint work done. I will keep that appointment if the car is still here when the time comes, at which point we will also likely just keep the car. If the car sells between now and the time the body shop is ready for it, it would be up to the new owner if they would like to keep that appointment, or if they're fine with the car just as it sits.
That's about all I can think of to tell you. Please email through Craigslist and provide your name and phone number. I will verify that you're an actual human and not a threat or scammer, then reply by email, text, or phone call, whatever suits you best. This will be an above board, daylight transaction where cash is exchanged for a notarized title at the DMV or elsewhere. No stress or surprises for you."""
