Running bad! 98 v70xc 2.5 T

Post by 1200bandit »

My v70 olny runs bad under strain. It will idle fine, run good if you drive like granny but when you give it some gas it starts to bogg down and seems to run real rough. really bad when going into passing gear or going up hills. thought it fouled a plug but they look ok. changed anyway.still doing it. when it does it for at least 5 seconds the service engine light blinks until i let off. what could i narrow down to find the problem?

Welcome to MVS...unfortunately from your description it's next to impossible to pin-point. Have your codes read (any Autozone, Pepboys, etc.) should read them for you for free and post them back. I suspect, either electrical (since plugs were changed), wires, rotor/cap or gas filter or pump is not giving enough for the demand or you have some air leaks in your small vacuum or larger turbo hose(s).
