Note to abscate - the clear shipping tape is very difficult to get off the glass and door paint.
Yes, DO NOT use packing tape on auto paint! If left any time, it will remove the paint.
I just had a thought - packing tape might be a way to remove peeling clear coat?

I have sprung for the genuine Bridgestone Blizzaks, and what a difference they make!

Winter tires are basically winter-boosted AT tires. They make some highwayer kinds of AT (like Geolandar) shy of what they are.

But in deep snow you need those chunky knobs of KO2 and alike.

I'm more interested in navigating through like 5 feet of ice-fluffy-crust-repeat sandwich. Tires need a lot of digging capacity.

Right.

That’s a cool color on yours. I don’t remember seeing any in that sort of dark slate blue. Do you know the name? Not “Abscate Blue”…?

Almost. Barents Blue. Every other XC70 of these years sold around Boston is in this color.

My first Volvo ever was a V70 in Nautic Blue. The most comfortable seats ever!

On season 3 of Falken Winterpeak F-Ice on my wife’s Nissan Rogue. Dramatically better than my Nissan Frontier’s Geolander G015 ATs on ice and the tread pattern on the Falkens is open enough it is really good in snow too. A little more noisy but worth it.
