oil pressure switch replacement 2005 XC70
oil pressure switch replacement 2005 XC70
Hello- new owner of an old XC70. The "no oil pressure" warning light has come on and I need to check the pressure. It looks like I've have to remove the intake manifold to get to the switch, but hoping there is another way to get to it. Any thoughts? Thanks

shouldn't need to pull the intake.
have you tried an oil and filter change?
any DTC'S stored ?
crankcase glove vacuum test ?
book says,
Remove the hose from the charge air pipe and oil dipstick tube.
i would probably pull the engine cooling fan for more access too.
- the screw for the charge air pipe in the cylinder block
- the connector from the oil pressure sensor
- the oil pressure sensor. Use a long 24 mm (deep)? socket.
don't ya just love the book.

I changed mine from the bottom on my kids 02 S60 2.4t 5-cyl.
He was getting intermittent low oil pressure warnings and I dropped the pan and put new seals in the oil pickup as I suspect root cause was sucking air as the seals were really crusty. While there changed the oil pressure sender on the front of the block too.
