91 740 fuel pump relay test

Does anybody know how to safely check a fuel pump relay to see if it is functioning properly for a few days? I know that there is a jumper wire test that I've actually used on an 850 before but not sure how to do it on the 740. Thanks Clay

Check the RWD FAQ on brickboard.com They have many good suggetions. Also, the brain in these cars can give problems with starting and I have had to replace one or two.

Connect a jumper wire between between fuel injection ECU terminal #21 and earth (ground). Connect another jumper wire between fuel injection ECU terminal #20 and earth. The fuel pump relay should close and the fuel pump should run.
