Hi all, I've been trying to troubleshoot the radio going out in my XC90 with no luck. Was driving one day and the speakers made a very loud sound and the radio shut off and wouldn't turn back on. At first I was thinking it was the ICM. Took it out, stripped it down, and attempted a repair of the capacitors on the board, but ended up ripping out one of the contacts on the board, RIP to my ICM. I found an ICM with the same model #, and from the same year on ebay, and installed that, still no radio. VDash and Vida showed the ICM was there, but to be safe I disabled the MOST security through VDash, which didn't solve anything. Both programs show the SUB is not communicating though, which must be the issue. This car does have a subwoofer, hidden away behind the rear left panel. I took apart the sub, tested the sub with a multi meter, and from the multi meter readings it should be functional. I tried replacing just the SUB module located in the subwoofer housing, with no luck. The device on the MOST ring before the subwoofer is the ATM (antenna module); I took that out and replaced the ATM module, with no luck. Not sure if anyone has any ideas? I'm at a loss, I wouldn't think it would be a wiring issue since there wasn't any maintenance done in the ATM / SUB area beforehand. Only code popping up currently is ICM-DC02.

Also, if I put the key in POS II, then to POS 0, and back to POS II, I can get into the audio settings, but that's about it. From a Volvo MOST troubleshooting guide I found, that should mean the ICM would be functional if there weren't another issue on the MOST network. Also, checked the SUB fuse and it was fine, and all other audio related fuses checked out okay.

Do you have VIDA?

When you check your vehicle readout, do you see "Infotainment Theft Protection: OFF"?
Mine was on from factory, VDASH was unable to disable it. And I kept having those issues until I pieced together the CEM data from a car with ITP Protection Off and turned it off.

Changing the CEM config alone will NOT turn off ITP. There is another area of the CEM that needs to be changed and I am not sure where that is
