That red Saab wagon is not that bad looking. Although I have to agree with you Neil, nothing compares to a P80. Imho there is only one other wagon that looks just as lovely and it's this one:

Not to be confused with the US version of the Granada, this is the one for the European market.

Those MK1 Ford Granadas were good looking cars, but in my opinion, the Mk2 was even better. Especially in Executive top of the range. I did actually want one at one point many years ago, but like all Euro Fords they mostly disappeared in rust.

I wonder if my old Capri had essentially the same V6?

For sure it did, the good old "Cologne" V6. Although your Capri had a different top end with different heads for lower compression, different exhaust headers, different carb, etc. Also, depending on the year Capri you owned, it may have been supplied with catalytic converters and a bunch of emission lowering stuff. I could go on with this because I still own a Capri :D

It was a '73 2.6. Downdraft 2 barrel, pretty simple. I bought it because I couldn't afford a used Austin Healey 3000 or a 240Z. Took it off to college and wore it out. Lowered it, sway bars, put on a little Edelbrock manifold and small Holley 4-barrel - ruined the performance.
