SOLD: 1999 S70 GLT Deer hit, in Michigan USA Topic is solved

So I hit a deer on the way home from work. The car already had front body damage, and the deer finished it off. It needs a new core support and hood for sure. Fenders are probably salvageable. Door is dented. Door glass is smashed (and covered from rain/snow). The mirror snapped back together, but seems loose. I don't have the time/space/desire to fix it. It was my work car, and was driven 100 miles a day. It currently has 119K miles on it.

I drove it the rest of the way home, which was probably 25miles. The car already had an intermittent shake at highway speeds. I did feel a little wobbliness, but it could have been wind buffeting as the hood was probably effecting the cars aero. I smashed it down in the pictures so I could open it.

The car is not originally from MI. It's got a Virginia sticker on it. It has no visible rust on the body, and I don't believe the underside is rusty either, but I've never had the need to be under the car.

Rebuild it, or use it for parts.... runs/shifts well.

$500 and it's yours.

Here's a video of the engine running. I don't know what the discoloration around the oil cap is. It was there when I bought the car, and is slowly peeling of.

The sunroof is open in the picture so you can see that it works. I use it all the time.

Gravity works different in Colorado. Sometimes Matt can fix it in post.
Pretty sad stuff, looks like a nice ride. The car looks very fixable for somebody in that frame of mind. I bought an S60T5M a while ago with the same idea, only the one I have hit something more substantial - like a moose.

That discoloration around the oil cap is probably been a leaking seal on the oil cap at some point or spilt oil when filling that was not cleaned up. More likely the former. Non-issue.

It did take a bit more of a hit that I first thought with the passenger door dented. You were lucky.

Hopefully it finds a home where it or parts live on.
