It's more like a coating, like wood varnish.
It did take a bit more of a hit that I first thought with the passenger door dented. You were lucky.

Hopefully it finds a home where it or parts live on.
Yeah, the window startled me. I hit the deer on the corner of the car, and I thought it was done. Suddenly, BOOM, and the window blows out. The door still opens and closes fine.

If I had the time and know how, I'd keep the engine and put it in my 850.... I love the turbo. More power, and it winds up faster than the NA engine.

Ok, sure
Pretty sad stuff, looks like a nice ride. The car looks very fixable for somebody in that frame of mind. I bought an S60T5M a while ago with the same idea, only the one I have hit something more substantial - like a moose.
Yes, I thought maybe, if not for parts, someone might by it that is surrounded by rusted examples.

Moose! I've heard they're legs get cut from under them, and they end up on the roof, since they're so tall. I'm glad I'm not dodging them. I have seen a cow hit. I think it was a Ford Ranger. Much worse than deer, because of mass.

If the moose ends up on the roof, just make sure you have tie-down straps and run your car with the roof rails on in case it happens! :D

Sad news for a clean looking car. Nice seats. Are those four Volvo all weather floor mats? I'd pay $120 for them shipped to NH. I bet they roll up in a box rather well.

I'm not sure of the differences between the various floor mat models. They are Volvo mats. I can get better pictures of them this weekend, for you.

Pictures would help, thanks. In all my decades of driving a P80, I didn't think to buy all weather mats until I found they were discontinued.

Now if you could ship me those nice front seats... Someone should at least part out this nice, low mileage car.

Could we turn this into a driver for my community college program? $500 is fine for that.

I don't think the seats will fit in any of my saved Amazon boxes

Here are the pictures. They're not perfect, but I suspect they'll clean up better than what I did. I did not spend much time on them last year, and the driver's side was used though the first part of winter before I swapped a Rensi in it's place.
