So I replaced my rear brakes (new pads and rotors)about 4 weeks ago. Now the car is making a thud when I am braking. It does not happen all of the time, and it is only 1 thud just before the car stops.
Any suggestions? I took it back to the garage and they tell me everything is cool.

Hard to know without seeing it...sure it's not your e-brake?
How about your transmission shifting down?

Well, I did adjust the e-brake when the rotors were instatlled, but there is very little tension on it. As for the tranny, the noise is definitely coming from the rear of the car, so I don't think it's that. But then again I'm not a mechanic.MadeInJapan wrote:Hard to know without seeing it...sure it's not your e-brake?
