How may people take medication and get worse but think it's just that the medication didn't work? Treat all medication with a question mark and do the research to see if it fits your condition while consulting with your doctor. Some Volvos fair okay with lifetime trans-fluids while others...

Years ago Levaquin nearly killed my aunt twice. First time when she was in the hospital for 7 days preparing for surgery. The second time was after transitioning to a rehab facility. The hospital forgot to make a note that she had an adverse reaction. It brought her Glucose level so low she was literally out for several days each time. Good thing she had a strong constitution. We had to post a note on her bedside for the duration of her stay, despite the nurse not liking it, just in case someone was not being careful in looking over her charts.

If my memory serves me right my cousin did research and found that Levaquin is not used in China for the elderly and children. Years ago when one of the kids was really young the Pediatrician prescribed ciprofloxacin as a prevention. Didn't help with the digestion at all so stopped using it. There is warning for athletes also.

Nearly all quinolone antibiotics in use are fluoroquinolones, which contain a fluorine atom in their chemical structure and are effective against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. One example is ciprofloxacin, one of the most widely used antibiotics worldwide.

Tendons

Quinolones are associated with a small risk of tendonitis and tendon rupture; a 2013 review found the incidence of tendon injury among those taking fluoroquinolones to be between 0.08 and 0.20%.[15] The risk appears to be higher among people older than 60 and those also taking corticosteroids;[15] the risk also may be higher among people who are male, have a pre-existing joint or tendon issue, have kidney disease, or are highly active.[16] Some experts have advised avoidance of fluoroquinolones in athletes.[16] If tendonitis occurs, it generally appears within one month, and the most common tendon injured appears to be the Achilles tendon.[15] The cause is not well understood.[15]

Levaquin is a fluoroquinolone (flor-o-KWIN-o-lone) antibiotic that fights bacteria in the body.
