downpipe w/O2 sensors ...help 98 - V70

ok,

so here we go!

changing O2 sensors there was a slight mistake on the threading and things got cross threaded and stripped

I am trying to find a tap and die setup , should be

M18 x 1.5 sensor M18 x 1.5 female .

anywho....I may need a new downpipe. (is that the part that has the sensors?)

anyone got any exhaust parts laying around? I'm in the Washington DC area

gonna try to find a tap and die setup, (I can find this local) and try fixing

sheez, it's fun these Volvos, but sometime there are hurdles!

I would have thought Harbor Freight would carry this thread chaser, but could not find one on their website. NAPA here in Canada carries an M18 x 1.5 'rethreader' so maybe the US store will carry this too? Amazon also carries a bunch. Not sure if this link from Amazon.com will show in the US:

ok, found a thread chase (aka tap) at a local auto parts store....

M18 x 1.5

this seems to be a common thing, when you take out the O2 sensors (the threads need to be "chased" and cleaned.

reason I say this? evey auto parts store has this part! haha

now, my 02 sensor threads are messed up, and I found the "die" on Amazon for 8 bucks

hopefully the brick will run better after these 02 sensors are replaced, and I also put in a "FACTORY TEMP SENSOR AND THERMOSTAT" for the coolant system.

so, stay tuned!
