While I'm relatively new to MVS and how this forum works, I'd assume most places are better than Facebook... glad it's your happy place, I'll be thinking of you and your family. But try to take it easy in the meantime.

Caregiving is a very brave and selfless act, usually for someone we truly love, and the strains can be enormous. Glad to somehow be part of your support group and will include prayers for you and yours. Remember to take care of yourself. Hope for the best possible outcome. Very best, Peter

Sorry to hear it, and I feel similar. Could not do much for health reasons the last year, I hope this year will be better. My 850 is neglected, and similarly I have not really been active here. :|

Glad to see you back, even if it is not as often as before! Hopefully you do better health-wise this year.

Neil.

It will be good to see you posting about fixing up the 850 when you're able. We'll be here.

It's a bonus that I'm being a caregiver for a Volvo wagon fan like myself. I'm driving their P3 XC70 T6 around to keep it fresh. The notoriously common oil low message came on tonight; I was surprised it took this long. I still get to do some automotive work while away from my cars: I sent a cracked wheel away to get repaired, and a blue-taped FCP box recently arrived with a new headlight low beam. If only I had a lift, I'd replace the totally severed sway bar link. I need to check the P3 forum for more troubleshooting info about this car.

It's always good to read about everyone's car work and other fun things. See you around.

The family member I was caring for recently died. Now I'm working to settle the estate. It will be tough finding time to work on cars and contribute how I'd like to the forum, but I'll try. So I still miss you guys.

Reading the forum takes me longer than usual because I'm taking notes. There's so much good information sprinkled all over that when I find it, I feel it's beneficial to jot it down for later.

When I do get time to work on cars, I must replace a terrifyingly overdue timing belt on worn old Geronimo, then rehab the P3 XC70 from my family member before passing it on.

The responsible thing would be to donate it, but after all the money and effort I've put in to it, I've grown rather attached to it. Geronimo is currently on loan as a daily driver, so it's needed at present. I would like to bring it up near stage zero at least to pass inspection before selling it on, trying to recover a fraction of what I spent on parts for it, recovering nothing for my time. It's a testament to how much punishment a P80 can take.
