Re: Let's play Name That Car
I don't recognize it, but a similar shape to some others likely by the same coachbuilder. I see a coachbuilder badge, but I don't recognize it. I'm guessing Italian, not British (?) and late 40's (??)

If that's a V on the badge, that's probably Vignale, and that car looks a lot like a Cisitalia.
Here's a cool, much smaller Abarth coupe by Vignale about the same era.

Another interesting one - in 1946, Vignale built a one-off Cisitalia aero race car for the Mille Miglia race across Italy. Cistalia was founded by a wealthy industrialist and race car driver.
"In the summer of 1946, this car was designed by Dante Giacosa and Giovanni Savonuzzi.
The first coupe was built by Alfredo Vignale, at the time the departmental head of Stabilimenti Farina.
When it arrived at the Cisitalia factory at the first time, in late 1946, Dusio congratulated him.
He hastily added a cheque for one hundred thousand Lire.
"Take this and don't mention it to anyone," Dusio added.
With this bonus, Vignale was able to set up his own carrozzeria."
Check out that little aero element above the rear window. That's about a gazillion years ahead of its time.

Haha! Wasted half my life in the rabbit hole studying auto design.
A friend and I were just joking - if you were to make a top ten list, the "Great Cars," could you do it? How would they all fit?

I would presume back then they all hung out in the same little bistro drinking plonk out of the bottles with the basket around the bottom, so naturally the coachbuilt cars would look similar.

Yeah, interesting that that Farina has almost the exact front fender and headlight trim. But at one time a particular coachbuilder made the body, but didn’t necessarily design it. It could have been a consultant they hired, or an independent, or they were contracted to build extra production of someone else’s design.
