Are there Canadian parts suppliers than can compete price-wise..?
Just wondering if any Canadians on thi site have found a local parts supplier (meaning Canadian) for their Volvos that are close to being competitive to U.S. ones..?

Volvo of Toronto online store is often competitive and offers free shipping on orders above $ 150 I recall. They are pleasant to deal with and helpful on the phone and appreciate if you look up your own part number.

$100 free shipping from VOT. There are other Volvo dealers including in Quebec that offer decent prices. They can be cheaper than VOT but for those of us that have 5% GST VOT charge us the good old 12% HST. Others have lower prices but charge shipping. You would have to try to see what works best for you.
Otherwise Rock Auto (yes I know US) but they often with shipping are still cheaper than most Canadian suppliers and shipping includes ALL charges.
I sometimes use Parts Avatar, but in spite their claim to be cheaper than Rock Auto, if Rock Auto has the same part they are usually cheaper. They do have free shipping over $99 CDN.
The other ones I have used are GermanParts and AutoPartsWay. Sometimes they have deals or can be cheaper on some items depending on what you are looking for.
Other than that, that is about it that I have used over the last 20 years or so living in Canada.
Good Used parts, Chapman Motors on Vancouver Island. Not cheap but not had any bad parts so far or been disappointed.
Neil.
