Does the Fuel cap / lid stay open momentarily if you lock the doors with remote?
Not sure what you mean, do you mean it pops back open or if you leave it ajar? I always click mine back into place after filling up and it stays that way until I pull the release.
There is on VGLA module programmable bit which should be enabling / disabling the delay of locking the fuel cap / lid when locking the car locks but i think it could be software on 70 series VGLA module not supporting the bit so it does nothing but i am not sure.

So i asking was there ever on 70 series anywhere that kind of delay in use.

So, I looked at my 00 V70R. The fuel cap is held closed all the time by the lock mechanism. It can only be opened by triggering the door opener on the driver's door panel. So based on this, if the car is locked, the fuel flap cannot be opened if the door is locked.

The flap does open when the engine is switched off, but you still have to use the switch on the door panel.

I looked up local market places if i would done an upgrade and buy newer Volvo.. most had engine problem too if it was any interesting one and still asking money from them so choice is easy. Keep the 850 running so..

Collecting now to order all parts to do belt job and additionally to replace valve stem seals. As tired to be James Bond initating smoke screen during now summer days.

And gonna try replace without taking head off. I love pain and suffering.
To add pain to injury stem seals costs like 1.30EUR piece and i have only 10 of them required to replace.

Though i gonna buy all stuff required if taking head off. As backup plan.

Last belt was replaced 2015... i am been playing with risk. but now i have some money to do.

The valve stems can be ordered as a kit for the six cylinder and will cut the costs by almost half for a 20 valve engine. I believe abscate has posted the part number in the forums before and it can be found using your search engine of choice, I'm on my phone right now or I'd find it.

That's what the guy at the machine shop must have done, I brought him a pack of 24 stem seals and 4 protector caps and got back 3 seals and 3 caps for a 20 valve engine. I wonder which ones taste better.

I hope everyone in the Northern Hemisphere has their A/C in working order. A cool car on 78F days lulled me into thinking I was safe, but it can't keep up. Only getting a 28° differential between outside and the vents. Low side pressure at 45-50PSI at 1500rpm.

Thought I'd take a look at what was causing the clunking, since I've narrowed it down to what I think is right rear on extension.

The bottom spring retainer was loose and I got my hopes up but the noise is still there even after tightening it. Don't see anything else at the moment so maybe it's time to do the rear bushings.

Also wondering if it's normal for WOT upshift from 1st to 2nd to take 3 business days, at around 4k rpm

A healthy T5 should shift 1 to 2 in about a second at about 6000 RPM and a satisfying noise from tires. Insufficient air or fuel flow to engine?

Have you already checked the upper shock mounts? The like to go bad. My shifting isnt a problem between 1st and 2nd. Between 2nd and 3rd gets up to 4000rpm in econ if I'm even a little heavy on the gas pedal, but it seems to be accelerating the whole way
