jsrnsis wrote: 22 Jun 2024, 14:15 Have you already checked the upper shock mounts? The like to go bad. My shifting isnt a problem between 1st and 2nd. Between 2nd and 3rd gets up to 4000rpm in econ if I'm even a little heavy on the gas pedal, but it seems to be accelerating the whole way
Shock mounts were replaced together with the shocks, upper perch, and shocks, earlier this year. The main upper nuts had to be retightened also a couple months back. Seemed to be all tight now. Is it possible the spring needs to be reseated because of the loose lower retainer?

Regarding insufficient air or fuel, I'm not sure which it is. I have a fuel pressure gauge now but if it is in park the car doesn't boost, is this normal?
For insuffficient air, would a soft wastegate spring and/or hot ambient air (30-38C in the day, 26C on a rainy eveing) be enough?

For the shift itself it makes its way to 4000, 4500RPM well, then somewhere in that range it shifts out of 1st, no longer transmits power as RPM climbs slowly still, then shifts into second after about half a second that feels like forever. No tire chirp or anything.

2nd to 3rd is quick. happening at around 5k

Have you done a drain and fill of the transmission too? That sounds like slipping to me. When I drained the transmission on the 94, the stuff that came out was super thin. Doing 3 drain and fills brought my reverse back, but it never truly worked right. At least I was able to back out of a space on flat ground, but I wish I had done it sooner.

Forgot to mention that an interesting guy I met a week ago that has 7 x 850's. He was telling me that there is a performance shop in the south end of Calgary that are building a trick white block. They are aiming to extract around 1000 bhp!!

That should be interesting when it's running! These high horsepower white blocks seem to hold up pretty well, from what I see!

Any build details shared?
Twin turbos? Big injectors? Special cams? Custom rods? Water injection? O ring head gasket?
