Missed that! It is classic badETC behaviour!

My ECT is missing the harness and the wires are twisted directly to each other. I've done random checks at different temps, using a multimeter and an IR thermometer and so far always reads as expected.
I'm beginning to circle back to something in the pump assembly itself as it seems to be more likely to happen when the fuel is low. I don't know for sure that it's related.
I know the fuel pump was replaced around 2020 but I do not know the specifics on the job. Maybe the pump was replaced by itself and the hose and strainer are now starting to fail? Maybe it's the pump itself behaving better when fully submerged.
I'll keep an eye on it. Does anyone have advice for reading fuel pressure under load? I am also looking into not having enough fuel under WOT as I max out at 5k rpm, even lower in 1st gear. What does fuel cut feel like?
