850 Wipers

I tried the bay13 fix and it didn't do much. My main problem is that the left (driver's side) wiper shuterrs/skips over when it wipes and it annoys the hell out of me. The right one is fine. Basically, I'm just wondering what I need to fix here? The wiper arm, motor, or fix something on the car?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Wiper arm is warped. You can try to reform it but you will probably need to replace the arm.

I have the same problem on my 93 850. What the bay13 fix doesn't mention so well is that you have to really crank on that thing to get it work properly. In fact, I cranked on mine so hard that I was SURE that I was going to break the thing! I have to redo it every 4-6 months. Eventually, I'll just go and buy a new one.

Twist it really hard... if it breaks, well, you were going to buy a new one anyway, right? ;)

2 solutions, make sure you have a volvo wiper, you can put non volvo refils in, but the tensioner on the oem wiper is differnt, every time i try a non volvo wiper, i get that dreaded problem.

as to the whole arm warping, this may be, i kinda noticed the v70 arm is differnt, doesnt have that "Arc" not sure if they will fit on an 850.....
