This might be a good thing for a separate thread if it works - the OP is in the UK, so I'm wondering about Euro differences of opinion on electronics and such. If it works for you, good for us; work fast though, looks like snow headed your way Sunday.

On a 1999 with Denso this was a fail.

Swapping the VGlA module under dash does not let the remote move to a new car. You need yo write the remote into code with VIDA

Correct. This makes sense as I know when you write a remote to a 1999 North American model it looks like you are adding another key, so I suspect it’s written to the CDM or the 2/76 lock controller

That was antenna module of VGLA which has no memory.

Try change VGLA itself which is 2/76 module as it has memory of remotes amount etc (i readen it manually via programmer.. 1999 Denso is mine too) and programming capabilities.

Update after developments: If someone is reading. Some VGLA boxes has own coding with IMMO actually. :wink: But not all.

Hello xanthefin;
I read your comments on this topic and "viewtopic.php?t=102647".
I own a 1998 Model C70. When I bought the vehicle, there was no keyless entry (fob). I purchased the fob and VGLA module that was said to belong to a 1998 model S70. They did not work when I installed them in my vehicle. As a result of my research, I learned that the remote control receiver on the front panel also needed to be replaced (according to the fob number from the donor vehicle) and I completed the compatible receiver by purchasing it from a different vehicle, but the fob still did not work.
What do you think I should do?

- I had a local car locksmith check the key and he said it worked.
- With the VGLA module, when the doors are opened manually, the interior lights come on and the fuel tank cover and trunk opening functions work.
- The VGLA module I removed from the vehicle is numbered "9459309", and the module I replaced is numbered "9459480".
- The remote control receiver I removed from the vehicle is stamped "5", labeled "Orange" and numbered "9166196". The module I replaced is stamped "4", labeled "gray" and numbered "9472724". (It is equivalent to the module numbered "9166198")
- If the fob comes from the donor vehicle and its cover is original, it is numbered "9166199".

I would like to thank Mr. Xanthefin and other forum members who can help in advance.

Hi ;
First of all, thank you for your reply. When I had the frequency of the remote control checked by a locksmith, he said that it was sending a frequency of 433 MHZ.
Stamped "5", labeled "Orange" and numbered "9166196". The module I replaced is stamped "4", labeled "gray" and numbered "9472724". (Equivalent to module numbered "9166198") It did not work with either receiver. The receiver marked "5", labeled "Orange" and numbered "9166196" also says 433.92 MHZ, but the one stamped "4", labeled "gray" and numbered "9472724" does not.

Then let's ask the valuable forum members;
Does anyone have fob number "9166199" (433MHZ) and know the code of the receiver unit on the dashboard? (maybe someone remembered something when changing the indicator bulb) If there is "9166198", it is replaced by "9472724".
