Installed new springy thingies on the V70, the BC racing coillvers became too harsh after 65k km and almost 5 years. Would have hoped for better longevity given the price...
bit of a bastard setup for now, used B4 I got from a parts car, new KYB rears and Vogtland springs (not expensive and i liked the color )



Rear right doesn't sit at the same height as the left, hopefully it'll settle down after a bit because i cant see any difference between the two sides

Today the second part of the carpet voyage followed.
Unfortunately the rubber mat was hacked apart and worn as well before installing the carpet.

The previous owner decided to "fix" it with painters tape which obviously didn't really work. Therefore I got a roll of Siga Rissan, that is usually used to tape and seal moisture barrier foil. It sticks like crazy.

The center part of the rubber was crack-y as well, so it got a layer of Siga Rissan as well:

Now the footwell is nice again

I'm so happy to have this done. Now I can get back to making the car electric

I've replaced 2 broken fuses 10 A. The side indictor on the left winng broke, the + went to the car's body and dashboard light off.

I tried moving the bumpers at the lower corners of the tailgate, but it made no difference.

I spent today replacing my tailgate latch/lock since the previous owner destroyed it by slamming the tailgate instead of replacing the striker plate that was missing the plastic/rubber band.
I proceeded to snap off the tailgate interior panel (that was never loose and rattly) and found out it had previously been repaired with a kit, then the kit removed and the clips held in place with cotter pins. I should have taken pictures as it's hard to explain. Pry off the bottom of the trim, and then the top should just slide out...

Hey - I looked at your printables and that’s really neat. I’d love to get the light clip and bushing tool (wish I’d had them in the past!). I know nothing about 3d printing (well, only the very basics - made one simple thing in a class once). I want to make a replacement actuator for the rear hatch lock on 99/00 wagons. I know what the issue is and how to fix it; just need to learn how to model the part and print. Would save a lot of people spending $250 on replacement locks!

Slowly getting my exterior detailed after long neglect. Today I refinished the lower body cladding and door strips with boiled linseed oil. I’ve done this before and it looks great and lasts a LONG time. Only downside is it takes a long time to dry, so I stuck the car in the garage for the weekend.

The “before” picture is misleading; it looks MUCH worse in person.

Linseed oil works really well on the plastic trim!
